Old Friendship Crafts was set up just over two and a half years ago by Jane Dubinski and her friend Lucy Freeman who wanted to produce and sell hand made products that were locally sourced and as Lucy has many farming connections they decided to settle on wheat-based products. As a keen gardener Jane contributed a bumper crop of lavender in 2006 and Old Friendship Crafts was born.
Their first handmade products were for a winter market and made of fleecy material, however, they have now branched out and make a co-ordinated range of shabby chic designs using gorgeous spotty and striped fabrics mixed with lovely vintage florals which can be teamed with other bedroom items

Their range of products include various wheat and lavender heat bags - long thin ones which can be heated up in the microwave and used to soothe aches and pains as well as smaller hand-held pads that can be heated in the microwave and then used as hand warmers – ideal for standing on the touch line every Sunday watching your sons play rugby, but also useful for dog walking or golf.
They also make wheat and lavender doorstops which are an attractive take on the more traditional doorstop but are slightly gentler on your paintwork as well as our children’s toes and of course fragrance the room with heavenly lavender!
The doorstops contain wheat for the weight element and have lavender sewn into the handles to fragrance the room and are ideal for use in the whole house.
To co-ordinate with the doorstops they make pinboards using fabric and ribbon which can be used in bedroom or kitchen alike as well as a range of other products including draught excluders and oven gloves.
Their double ended oven gloves are padded with a special insulated wadding to withstand high temperatures and are hand finished to add that special touch.
The draught excluders make a perfect accessory to the doorstops and are a welcome change from the old sausage dog! They are filled with polybeads, which are great for insulation as well as some wheat to add weight. Old Friendship Crafts also stock a range of fragranced hearts that can be hung in wardrobes or as doorhangers in a wide range of fabrics. These are stuffed with lavender and wadding to give a padded effect.
All of these products are hand sewn by Jane and Lucy and are made from locally sourced materials.
